    Nikita M Patel is a final year Pharmacology student at UCL, set to graduate in 2018. Currently, she is engaged in a Master's project focused on studying age-related changes in the chemotaxis of human neutrophils under the supervision of Professor Derek Gilroy from the Centre for Clinical Pharmacology and Therapeutics at UCL. Her academic journey includes in-depth exploration through modules like 'Drug Design and Development' and 'Immunodeficiency and Therapeutics,' offering her valuable insights into the pharmaceutical industry's workings and main challenges.

    Throughout her academic tenure, Nikita has honed essential skills in teamwork and project management via various group projects. She has also developed proficiency in effective scientific communication, data analysis derived from laboratory reports, and prioritizing a healthy work-life balance.

    Aside from her academic pursuits, Nikita M Patel has actively contributed to UCL's community. She has served as a Student Quality Reviewer for Teaching Practice, held the role of Senior Transition Mentor, participated as a Student Ambassador, and represented student interests as the Student Academic Representative (StAR) for Neuroscience, Physiology, and Pharmacology (NPP).
