Nihal Mehta

Nihal Mehta is a prominent entrepreneur and venture capitalist, currently serving as the Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder of Buzzd, a pioneering mobile city guide that provided real-time information about popular locations based on social media check-ins. He has a notable background in mobile marketing and technology, having founded several startups over his career, including ipsh!, which was one of the first full-service mobile marketing agencies and was acquired by Omnicom in 2005. Buzzd itself was later pivoted into LocalResponse, which also saw significant growth before its acquisition by BlueCava.123

In addition to his role at Buzzd, Mehta is a co-founder and General Partner at Eniac Ventures, a venture capital firm that focuses on seed-stage investments in mobile technology. He has been instrumental in identifying and investing in successful startups, including Admob (acquired by Google) and Swiftkey (acquired by Microsoft). His extensive network and experience in the tech industry have earned him the nickname "the human Rolodex" due to his vast connections with various companies and brands.124

Mehta graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a dual degree in Philosophy and Computer Science. Beyond his business ventures, he is actively involved in philanthropic efforts, co-founding initiatives such as Project Ahimsa, which provides scholarships to disadvantaged youth in India, and supporting various social justice initiatives.123
