Nigel Drenthe

Nigel Drenthe is a distinguished Aerospace Engineer and Cost Engineer who made history as the inaugural recipient of the Heinz Stoewer Space Award for pioneering research in systems engineering and cost engineering in the realm of Spaceflight.

His academic journey includes earning a Master's degree in Space Systems Engineering with a focus on Spaceflight from Delft University of Technology, complemented by a Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering from the same prestigious institution. Nigel also completed his Gymnasium education at Lorentz Casimir Lyceum.

Nigel has contributed his expertise as a Cost Engineer at the European Space Agency (ESA), illustrating his commitment to the advancement of aerospace technologies. Prior to his role at ESA, he honed his skills at Philips, where he held positions as a Systems Engineer, Cost Engineer, and Procurement Specialist. Furthermore, Nigel has garnered valuable experience through various internships, including serving as a Graduate Research Intern in Cost Engineering at ESA, a Guidance, Navigation & Control Engineering Intern at DLR, and an Investment Banking Intern at Albacore Partners.
