Nigel Brown

Nigel Brown is a highly experienced Quality, Performance, and Process Improvement leader with a notable background in industrial/process engineering and operations management. He has worked in various industries and held leadership positions in organizations in Northern Virginia, Southern Maryland, and Alabama.

Nigel holds a Master's degree in Healthcare Quality and Safety from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, an MBA from Cardinal Stritch University, and a Doctorate in Business Administration focused on Quality from Baker College. Throughout his professional career, Nigel has been involved in several process improvement initiatives and has contributed to enhancing organizational excellence and performance in over 30 healthcare and high-volume manufacturing companies.

Nigel is also heavily involved in supporting diverse communities, contributing his time as Vice President of Birmingham's ACE (ALAQUEST Collaborative for Education), a non-profit organization focused on increasing access to social and emotional learning through teacher training and community outreach.

Currently holding the position of Director of Clinical Practice Transformation & Process Improvement at The University of Alabama at Birmingham Health System, Nigel has also served as Adjunct Faculty Instructor at the UAB School of Health Professions, and previously as Leader of Performance Excellence at The University of Alabama at Birmingham Health System. He has also held senior positions at other companies such as Adventist HealthCare, Inova Health System, and Chrysler Group LLC.
