Niek Schipper

Niek Schipper is an expert in International and EU tax law, specializing in the tax implications of cross-border employment.

Currently working as a Tax Lawyer at Vialto Partners in Amsterdam, Niek offers advice on tax, social security, and pension matters for international mobile employees and board members.

Apart from representing taxpayers in court, Niek actively contributes to the learning and development programs at Vialto Partners and The Dutch Association of Tax Advisors (NOB).

Niek holds a position as a lecturer at Leiden University and completed his Ph.D. dissertation on the tax treatment of cross-border workers in the EU in 2019, with multiple publications and speaking engagements at universities and conferences.

His educational background includes a Doctor of Laws (LL.D.) from Leiden University, a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Tax Law, and a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Fiscal Economics from the University of Amsterdam.

Previously, Niek held roles as a Partner and Director at Vialto Partners, as well as Director - People & Organisation and Senior Tax Manager - People & Organisation at PwC Nederland.
