Nicolette Cusick

Nicolette Cusick is a prominent entrepreneur known for her role as the owner of Escape Room Breckenridge, which she opened in November 2015. This establishment was the first escape room in Summit County, Colorado, and quickly gained popularity for its immersive puzzle-solving experiences that challenge participants' critical thinking and teamwork skills.12

Before opening Escape Room Breckenridge, Cusick launched her first escape room, Will You Escape?, in Tucson, Arizona, in February 2015, making it the first of its kind in that city as well.3 Her ventures into the escape room industry were inspired by the growing trend of these interactive games, which originated from video games and have since become a popular entertainment option across the globe.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Cusick adapted her business model by converting one of her escape rooms into a virtual format, allowing participants to engage in puzzle-solving from home. This innovative approach helped maintain customer interest and provided an alternative for those hesitant to visit physical locations.25
