Nicole Ward is a highly qualified and experienced HR Generalist seeking a new and challenging role in People Management. With over 15 years of experience covering senior HR positions in different sectors, including the public sector, charities, and private companies, Nicole offers a wealth of knowledge and expertise in HR disciplines. She is enthusiastic about HR, takes pride in using a common sense approach and is fair but firm. Nicole is a qualified HR Generalist, with certifications from CIPD and SHRM-SCP, and holds a university diploma in Human Resources from Thames Valley University and a Bachelor's degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management from New York City Technical College.
Nicole has excellent interpersonal and communication skills, a great sense of humor, and can work independently or in a team in single or multi-sited organizations. In her former profession as a hospitality manager, she managed up to 40 direct reports, and also managed and coached a team, company directors, and CEOs. Nicole uses a hands-on, interactive style to develop, coach, and teach managers and staff, building their confidence in using HR tools to empower them to take constructive action to successfully achieve corporate aims.
Nicole brings practical working knowledge of people management and is always seeking to expand her remit and engage in CPD. Her most recent completion of a Total Reward Course is evidence of her commitment to professional development. Nicole seeks an opportunity with a multi-national company with links to the US and UK, where she can contribute to the effectiveness of People Management and make a tangible difference.
