Nicole Unsworth

Nicole Unsworth is a passionate individual dedicated to empowering individuals and families by helping them develop internal solutions. She practices therapy collaboratively and through trauma-informed and systemic perspectives.

Nicole's professional interests lie in prevention and early intervention services, working in school communities, conducting trainings, and offering individual, couples, family, and group therapy. Her specialties span across working with children, adolescents, parents, families, military families, and veterans, utilizing evidence-based, strength-based, and culturally sensitive approaches.

Nicole Unsworth holds a Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Alliant International University. She also completed a Bachelor's degree in Communications and Psychology at the University of San Diego.

Nicole has a diverse professional background having served in various roles such as LMFT at Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Senior Career Services Manager at Galvanize Inc, Program Director at San Diego Youth Services, Mental Health Specialist at San Diego Youth Services, Clinician at Community Research Foundation, and others.

Nicole has received training in various therapeutic modalities including Motivational Interviewing, play therapy techniques, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Seeking Safety.
