Senior Director of Communications

- Generated and executed communications strategy: Worked closely with the marketing team to develop and implement an annual communications plan that supported NBME’s organizational goals, maintained and strengthened its brand and reputation, and reinforced the mission.
- Drove communications content: Created powerful messages, storylines, and programs that connected the organization with its external audiences, while also monitoring the overall effectiveness and results of these programs. Managed the communications editorial line up to source content, assign responsibility for development, and ensured the timing, quality, and execution for stories. 
- Managed media relations/crisis communications: Developed and serviced reporter/media needs through an online media kit, triaging inquiries and contacting appropriate staff to propose responses. Acted as an incident team member for communications support for the crisis plan.
- Responsible for managerial duties: Formally supervised the work of two direct staff members and external agencies (as necessary), and coordinated the work of other staff who contribute to the projects.

Public Engagement Program Officer

-	Managed the daily operations of staff to ensure smooth functioning of workflow and appropriate staff/resource allocation.
-	Supervised five editors of varying experience levels and three editorial production assistants in the creation of test items.
-	Developed and mentored staff through the use of coaching modalities, succession planning, and real-time feedback. 
-	Quality controlled editing produced by the team to ensure consistency, quality, and adherence to appropriate style.
-	Created annual schedule for Step 1 and derivative examinations to ensure that all deadlines are met in a timely manner.
-	Coordinated scheduling of committee meetings, staff assignments, and examination production.
-	Provided project management for all production phases of derivative examinations across delivery modalities.
