Nicole Egerstrom is a graduate student at The Gillings School of Global Public Health, pursuing a Masters of Science in Public Health in Environmental Sciences and Engineering. Her primary focus lies in researching public health issues, particularly climate change and its adverse effects on vulnerable populations.
Nicole's educational background includes a Bachelors of Science in Public Health with a concentration in Environmental Health Sciences and a Masters of Science in Public Health in Environmental Sciences and Engineering, both from UNC Gillings School of Global Public Health. She has also studied Analytical Chemistry at Lund University and holds a High School Diploma from Country Day School, a Nord Anglia Education School.
Within various organizations, Nicole has contributed to the academic community as a Teaching Assistant at UNC Gillings School of Global Public Health. She also gained professional experience as an Environmental Health Intern at NC Department of Health and Human Services and as a Research Assistant for the SUDDEN Project.
