Nicole Bertoletti

Dr. Nicole Bertoletti is an accomplished protein crystallographer with a deep expertise in drug discovery. She completed her education in Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Technology at the University of Pisa, Italy, where she also conducted her master's thesis focusing on molecular modeling and virtual screening. Her passion for drug design led her to pursue a Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Chemistry in the drug design group of Prof. Klebe at the Philipps-Universität Marburg, Germany, where she excelled in biochemical, biophysical, and structural methods, particularly in protein crystallography. During her postdoctoral tenure at Yale University, Dr. Bertoletti contributed significantly to projects involving novel antiviral drugs, small-molecule cancer treatments, and the structural characterization of multimeric complexes using single-particle cryo-EM.
