Nicolas Lassabe is a renowned computer scientist and engineer, known for his pioneering work in digital innovation and digital manufacturing. With extensive experience in mechatronics, robotics, and automation engineering, he has established himself as a leading voice in the field of artificial intelligence, 3D printing, and evolutionary design. Nicolas is also the co-founder and president of Artilect FabLab Toulouse, the first-ever FabLab in France. In addition to that, he serves as the Digital Manufacturing Research & Innovation Program Manager at Capgemini, where he continues to push the boundaries of innovation through a variety of cutting-edge projects.

Nicolas started his journey as a software programmer, with internships at Knowledge Support Systems Group and LaBRI/CNRS. He later worked as a research engineer at ONERA - The French Aerospace Lab and Geosignal, before joining Cornell University as a postdoctoral researcher. This experience allowed him to hone his skills in robotics, mechatronics, and automation engineering. Later, Nicolas completed his Ph.D. and Masters in Computer Science at Université Toulouse 1 Capitole and Université Paul Sabatier Toulouse III, respectively.

Over the years, Nicolas has gained a reputation for his expertise in digital fabrication, open innovation, and artificial intelligence. He is a former teaching assistant at Université Toulouse 1 Capitole and an organizer for the FabLab Festival. Nicolas is also a former intervenant of Management de l'innovation: Mastere Spécialisé Management de Projets Innovants MGPIE at ISAE-SUPAERO.

Some of Nicolas's interests include the fusion of digital and physical worlds through digital fabrication tools, the impact of AI and Robotics on society, evolutionary design and artificial intelligence, open innovation, and digital innovation.
