Nicolas Kamp

Nicolas Kamp has dedicated 20 years to the pursuit of transferring technology from research and development to customer applications, with a particular focus on aluminium rolled products. He holds a PhD in Materials Sciences and Engineering from the University of Southampton and a French ‘Diplôme d’ingénieur’ in Aerospace Engineering from Ecole nationale supérieure d'Ingénieurs de Constructions aéronautiques.

He has held various leadership positions throughout his career, including serving as Manager and Leader of the Goettingen R&D Center at Novelis, where he oversaw the development and implementation of new technologies focused on imaging applications. He also previously worked as a Research Assistant at the University of Manchester and the University of Southampton, further cementing his expertise in materials science and engineering.

Kamp cites his driving motivation as having a positive impact on society through the transfer of technology from research to consumer products. His experience in aluminium rolled products technology gives him a unique perspective on how to develop and implement new, innovative solutions within the field.
