Going full circle as the oldest sibling of a sixth-generation family farm after opting for a career in technology, Nicolas joins Full Harvest at the critical time technology will power the next phase of their growth. Nicolas owns digital product and technology and leverages the latest and greatest in the cloud to plan, build and run the digital experiences of all current and future customers of the marketplace.

The Full Harvest marketplace helps growers get the most out of a harvest and food companies save money by bringing farm excess to market. The B2B platform is connecting farms to various food businesses to sell significantly discounted, yet perfectly good surplus and imperfectly shaped produce that would have otherwise gone to waste.

Approx. 20 billion pounds of produce go to waste in the U.S. annually simply because they are not perfectly shaped for strict retailer standards. Full Harvest aims to solve this problem with the marketplace for this unutilized edible and valuable produce.

The vision is three-fold: bring additional revenue stream to farmers, lower the cost of healthy food production, while significantly reducing wasted food and resources.

Within Walmart's Altitude Division (Regrouping all Digitally Native Vertical Brands owned by Walmart) Nicolas secured the transition from Modcloth as an independent company to Modcloth as a subsidiary of Walmart eCommerce. Successfully led the Acceleration project and went on as an advisor to Altitude across various strategic assignments. Authored a Global eCommerce Blueprint destined to serve as a platform to preserve vertical brands' DNA while leveraging the competitive advantage tied to Walmart's ability to scale. The platform is meant to streamline integration of newly acquired brands or streamline the inception of new ones created out of thin air.

Digitally-native lifestyle brand ModCloth announced the appointment of Nicolas Genest as chief technology officer (CTO). Mr. Genest joins ModCloth with over 15 years' experience building and leading engineering, product and data organizations across consumer, tech and online retail industries. Mr. Genest will be based in the company's San Francisco headquarters and report directly to ModCloth CEO Matthew A. Kaness.
