    Nicolas Esteves, also known as Nico, is the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at NALA, a company focused on revolutionizing payments for the Next Billion, backed by Y-Combinator and Accel.

    Prior to his current position, Nico founded Osper, one of the pioneer digital banks in the UK specializing in kids' banking. During his tenure, Osper secured funding from Index Partners and Techstars amounting to $10 million.

    With a background in Applied and Industrial Mathematics and Informatics, Nico pursued his Master of Science degree at Université Grenoble Alpes, following his Bachelor of Science in Applied Mathematics from the same institution.

    Throughout his career, Nico held various key roles such as VP Engineering at Osper, Security Consultant at Typeform.com, and Backend Engineer at companies like Monzo Bank and ComplyAdvantage.

    Nico's expertise extends to mentoring and advising roles, having contributed his knowledge and experience to organizations like Black Valley, Penfold, Coconut, and participating as a mentor at Startupbootcamp FinTech and HACKcelerator.

    With a keen interest in fintech, payments, security, and compliance, Nico transitioned from start-ups to consultancy, providing specialized services in these domains.

    Nico's skill set encompasses a wide array of roles, ranging from numerical software development and engineering to security consultancy and leadership positions in prominent tech and financial institutions.
