Nicolas J.A. Buchoud

Nicolas Buchoud is a renowned professional in the field of complex global urban ecosystems. He is the co-founder and President of the Grand Paris Alliance, a non-profit think-tank that has received several awards, and also co-owns Renaissance Urbaine, an urban R&D company established in Paris since 2006. With a post-master's degree in urban, community, and regional planning from the Institut d'Etudes politiques de Paris and a Master's degree in public law and political science, he's experienced in urban partnerships, innovation and strategic planning, and investments. Buchoud is also a past member of the Scientific Council of Atelier International du Grand Paris (AIGP) and a member of the Executive Board at the International Biodiversity & Property Council (IBPC/CIBI).
Furthermore, he has served as the President of the Cercle Grand Paris de l'Investissement Durable, Honorary Advisory Board Member of the Indonesia Creative Cities Network (ICCN), and a Senior Policy Advisor on urban development at the Paris Ile-de-France Region Office of the President. Additionally, he has expertise in public policy evaluation and Chinese history, specifically the XVIth and XVIIth centuries. Buchoud is a Global Solutions Fellow at Global Solutions Initiative and has served on several strategic orientation committees, including the Fondation pour la Recherche sur la Biodiversité.
