Nicola Triscott

Director/CEO, FACT Liverpool

Nicola Triscott is a prominent cultural producer, curator, researcher, and writer with a focus on the convergence of art, science, technology, and society.

She currently serves as the Chief Executive of FACT (Foundation for Art & Creative Technology) in Liverpool, a role she assumed in May 2019.

Nicola was the founding Artistic Director/CEO of Arts Catalyst, a renowned UK non-profit organization known for its innovative contemporary arts commissions intertwining with science, with projects by artists like Tomas Saraceno, Otolith Group, and Critical Art Ensemble.

With over 25 years of experience, Nicola has curated numerous exhibitions and events for Arts Catalyst, solidifying its reputation as a leading arts commissioning entity.

She is an accomplished author and lecturer, having published books on various art themes including technology in the Arctic, art and space, and ecological art.

Nicola Triscott holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Curatorial Studies from the University of Westminster and a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Geography from University College London, U. of London.

Aside from FACT and Arts Catalyst, Nicola has been associated with notable organizations such as Catalyst Rwanda, University of Westminster, Tate, and Arts Council England, where she has held diverse roles encompassing research, consulting, and artistic direction.

Her extensive background also includes past engagements at Bull Theatre & Arts Centre and various freelance art consultancy projects.
