Nico Berardi

Nico Berardi is the Founder and General Partner at ANIMO Ventures, a venture capital firm focused on seed-stage investments. ANIMO Ventures was established in 2018 with an initial fund of $60 million to lead or co-lead early financing rounds across the United States. Before founding ANIMO, Nico Berardi worked at Resolute Ventures, a top-decile seed firm, and launched Miami Angels, a seed-stage angel group in partnership with the Knight Foundation. Miami Angels is recognized as a premier angel group in Florida, investing $250,000 to $300,000 in 8-10 startups annually, and Nico continues to serve on its board.123

Nico Berardi began his career in the non-profit sector with TECHO.org, where he held various leadership roles over seven years, helping it become the largest non-profit in Latin America. He is also a Kauffman Fellow and has been recognized as a Young American Leader by Harvard Business School. Nico holds a degree in Economics from Universidad Torcuato Di Tella in Argentina and an MBA from Harvard Business School. He is known for his global perspective, having lived in Argentina, Mexico, Venezuela, Boston, and Miami.123
