Nico Belmonte is a seasoned technology leader with over 15 years of experience in the areas of Maps, AR & VR, Data Visualization, Computer Graphics, and Machine Learning.

Having worked at prestigious companies like Meta, Uber, and Twitter, Nico has a proven track record of building impactful products and leading teams to success.

During his tenure as the Director of Engineering at Meta, Nico oversaw the Geo organization responsible for delivering maps to over 50 million daily active users across popular platforms like Instagram, Facebook, WhatsApp, and emerging Reality Labs devices.

Prior to his role at Meta, he played a pivotal role as the Director of Engineering at Uber, where he built a team that developed cutting-edge software for advanced visualization of business, geospatial, and self-driving car data.

Nico's expertise extends to his time as a Staff Engineer at Twitter, where he contributed to open-source visualization and graphics software, authored papers, delivered talks, and provided mentorship to fellow engineers within the organization.

Apart from his corporate roles, Nico has an academic background, having pursued a Master of Science in Computer Science from Instituto Tecnológico de Buenos Aires and completing his education with a French Scientific Baccalaureate and an Argentinian Baccaleureate.
