• Advising on the regeneration of Elephant and Castle and the compulsory purchase of the Heygate Estate
• Advising on the redevelopment of London Bridge Station including complex S106 agreement
• Advising on the hybrid planning application for the extension of Surrey Quays Shopping Centre
• Leading the Council's team on the successful compulsory purchase of a listed building at risk for refurbishment by Heritage for London Trust
• Advising on Southwark's first integrated waste management facility and an innovative approach to meeting renewable energy targets by providing off site carbon reductions using recovered heat from a neighbouring borough's combined heat and power station (secured by S106).
• Providing legal advice on the local development framework and emerging development plan documents;
•Defending claims for judicial review made against the Council and ensuring that officer's reports are legally robust;
• Acting as legal officer at Community Councils and Planning Committee 
• Leading the Council's team at various planning and enforcement appeals;

Specialised in all areas of planning, highways and compulsory purchase law, in particular, tall buildings, EIA, judicial review, complex planning and highways agreements, heritage assets, rights of light. Specific projects include:
•	Advising Heron Corporation on the Heron Tower on all town planning aspects of the proposed 222m tower including EIA, public inquiry, drafting inquiry documents, drafting and negotiating all planning and highways agreements
•	Acting for Heron on the redevelopment of Stone House and Staple Hall site adjacent to the Heron Tower including obtaining certificates of immunity from listing 
•	Advising DIFA on its application for a tall building, (the Pinnacle) comprising approximately 140,000 sq m to be the tallest building in the City of London. 
•	Acting for Development Securities in relation to the controversial mixed use scheme at Oriental City comprising 8,500 sq m retail and 520 residential units and a primary school in Brent.
•	Advising Messila House Ltd on the redevelopment of the Normandie Hotel, Knightsbridge to provide a new 5* hotel including advising on complex rights of light issues
•	Negotiating section 106 agreements for First Base on a number of sites and, in particular, on the redevelopment of Adelaide Wharf in Hackney on one of the first London Wide Initiative sites. 
•	Acting for MTV on the successful appeal against  Westminster City Council for the redevelopment of 1 Leicester Square as a TV broadcasting and production studio.  
•	Acting for Ralph Trustees Limited on the extension and conversion of a Grade II* listed building in the Green Belt (now the 5* Grove Hotel), including advising at public inquiry. 
•	Two year secondment to British Airways to the Terminal 5 Inquiry.
