Senior Director of Software Engineering

- Led several teams working on Trend Micro Cloud One SaaS platform used by external customers and collaborated with internal development teams around the globe, reporting to Head of Product

- Enabled design and implementation of a SaaS platform from scratch which consists of ReactJS microfrontend architecture hosted on AWS S3 via CloudFront and 30+ Go Serverless microservices on AWS, using API Gateway, Lambda, DynamoDB, EventBridge, SNS, SQS, SES, etc.

- Helped to pioneered new DevOps pipelines and template repositories to enable teams to move fast and reuse as much prior knowledge as possible, leading to approximately 40 daily upgrades to production

- Reduced operational overhead (ops team) by 90% by introducing Everything-As-Code mentality, including AWS Account Baselining, infrastructure, pipelines, security scanning, compliance evidence collection, automated testing, dashboards, alarms, etc.

- Awarded Trend Micro MVP for Innovation in 2022

My responsibilities include; designing and developing key features of Trend Micro Cloud One, providing architectural guidance, ensuring the high quality deliverables.  

I am a champion and practitioner of Devops, with true continuous deployments, with aggressive targets on lead time and number of daily upgrades.  Specializing in observability and telemetry to inform future work and effectively manage incidents quickly.

I mentor and manage team members, customer support and enhancements, track project status, product owner and product direction advisement, enabling team building and team sharing opportunities, and generally being a leader/contributor of a high class and highly respected team. 

All of my efforts have an overall goal of delivering a great product with maximum value and quality to our awesome customers.
