Nick Shahiar is a highly experienced industry veteran with over 30 years of progressive domestic and international experience in software, medical systems, and devices. He has held various senior executive, management, and technical positions at global companies such as Siemens, Eli Lily, IVAC, Group Bull, Mitsubishi, and Partex. Nick is currently managing the Horizon Investment Group's portfolio, leading many successful technology investments and the commercial investment arm for a combined total investment of over $310M.

Nick's impressive background includes leading and participating in several successful IPOs and mergers & acquisitions. At Siemens and Group Bull, he held several senior management positions, implementing strategic alliances and nationwide projects, growing market share to half a billion dollars. He has also developed a multi-service metro access platform for ADA Networks, introduced the 10G fiber optic product line to market at Kestrel, and led the development of several medical systems and successful product launches at IVAC, acquired by Eli Lily.

In the energy sector, Nick worked with Partex to lead an international consortium that implemented a $260M energy infrastructure project between former Soviet Republics, providing energy to countries in the region. He also established a joint venture company to work with Mitsubishi to implement two combined cycle power plants funded by the IMF and World Bank.

In addition to his impressive professional background, Nick is a member of Life Science Angels and the Band of Angels. He served as the CEO of Horizon Investment Group, where he managed a diverse portfolio of technology investments.
