Nick Hakes
Medical Student, Management at Cambridge
Nick Hakes is a driven individual with a strong passion for serving as a trauma surgeon in the military, specializing in emergency medicine, trauma, and critical care.
His educational background includes a major in Philosophy with a concentration in Medical Ethics and a Pre-Medicine track at Stanford University.
Nick has been involved in various organizations and roles, such as Trauma Surgery Researcher and Intern at Stanford Health Care and Stanford Children's Health, Intercollegiate Civil Disagreement Partnership Fellow at Stanford University and Harvard University, Pyrotechnician at City of San Francisco, Stanford University, and American Fireworks, and Student Emergency Manager at Stanford University.
He has also contributed as a Bioethics Researcher and Hospital Ethics Committee Member at Stanford Health Care, Stanford Children's Health, and the Department of Veterans Affairs, President of the Ranchers and Farmers Society of Stanford, and President of Stanford Uniformed Services Interest Group at Stanford University School of Medicine and Stanford Health Care, among other roles.
Nick's diverse skill set also extends to roles such as Emergency Services Volunteer, Trauma and Burn Team Intern, Volunteer Supervisor and Trainer, as well as positions in bioethics research and as a Resident Advisor and First-Year Mentor at Stanford University.
