Nick Brown is the Co-founder and CEO of Effct.org, a digital media company that aids impactful organizations in education, politics, and advocacy. With a motto of 'Empower your world,' Nick and his team have worked on successful campaigns like University Prep, Colorado Children's Campaign, Bloomberg 2020, and Prosperity Denver. Their efforts have led to significant increases in enrollment, campaign victories, and enhanced name recognition within various sectors.
Nick's background includes being a Fulbright Scholar in Colombia, where he taught English and worked on digital media projects. He was a Teach For America teacher in Mississippi, where he not only focused on improving educational outcomes for disadvantaged students but also taught guitar and was featured in the local newspaper. Nick also co-founded Effct.co, focusing on software and emerging technologies such as voice, with nearly 900 users.
An avid writer, Nick's work has been recognized by Arianna Huffington and featured on Thought Catalog. Apart from his professional endeavors, he finds joy in working out, particularly lifting weights and running.
Education-wise, Nick holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Colorado Boulder, a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Political Science with a 3.9 GPA from the University of Southern California, and attended Denver East High School.
Throughout his career, Nick has held various roles including Digital Director at Team Bloomberg, Digital Consultant at Hancock for Denver, and has been associated with organizations like NO on 300, Prosperity Denver, Urban Drainage and Flood Control District, and Jennifer Bacon for Denver School Board.
He has also been part of The Urban Leaders Fellowship, taught in the Sunflower County Consolidated School District, worked as a Communications Contractor for Mayor Michael B. Hancock in the City and County of Denver, and served as Director at Campus and Community United.
