Nicholas Zinn

Nicholas Zinn is the Chief Technology Officer for Global Operations at Morgan Stanley, a position he has held since January 2020. Based in Irvine, California, Zinn is responsible for overseeing the technology that supports post-trade processing for both the Wealth Management and Institutional Securities divisions of the firm. His work encompasses various aspects of operations technology, including securities settlements, asset servicing, client onboarding, and regulatory reporting.12

Professional Background

Zinn joined Morgan Stanley in 2001, initially working in Prime Brokerage Technology. Over the years, he has developed numerous products related to risk management and performance measurement. Notably, in response to the 2008 financial crisis, he established the Bank Resource Management technology group to enhance systems for funding and managing counterparty risk.2 Prior to his tenure at Morgan Stanley, he worked at several software startups in New York City and served as Head of Portfolio Analytics at PAAMCO from 2016 to 2019.2

Nicholas Zinn earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Pennsylvania in 1998.2
