Nicholas Rewkowski

Nicholas Rewkowski is a dedicated graduate student at UNC-Chapel Hill specializing in VR/AR applications for training visually-impaired children and aspiring surgeons.

With a diverse background in programming, Nicholas has worked on various projects ranging from 3D graphic design to mobile applications to research apps, always aiming to make a positive impact on society.

During his undergrad years, Nicholas was actively involved in numerous on-campus organizations, tech groups, and research projects, culminating in a degree in Computer Science and Chinese language with several awards.

As a first-generation college student from a challenging background, Nicholas is committed to using his experiences to advocate for disadvantaged communities and projects with a societal benefit.

His educational journey includes studies at various institutions such as Yonsei University, UNC-Chapel Hill, University of Maryland, and others, focusing on computer science and related fields.

Nicholas has held positions such as a PhD student, instructor, teaching assistant, research assistant, counselor, and developer at organizations like UMD, UNC, and others, showcasing his dedication to academia and innovation.
