On the show Close Enough, I was responsible for painting the water color inspired backgrounds. The role required an advanced knowledge of color and light, value and overall setting the scene to help the characters best tell the story. We worked closely with the production crew to understand the pipeline and meet all the deadlines in a timely manner.

Work with Imagineering team members and independent contractors to create art and concepts for exciting new additions to Disney's theme parks and themed entertainment. I work alongside the team to develop ideas at a basic sketch level and advance the art all the way through the visual development process, finally creating marketing ready concept paintings.

I worked alongside the Art Director, Owner and Producer to come up with ideas and develop the clients concepts from start to finish on all projects while at Mousetrappe. One such example was The Little Mermaid at the Hollywood Bowl. I was responsible for all concept development, storyboarding and some of the final Matte Painting work that went into creating a films worth of new animation to accompany the original Disney movie. Under an extremely tight deadline we managed to produce high quality art and animation in a very short time.

Was responsible for painting diverse environments showcasing the use of color harmony, light and texture for key scenes on the TV show Valt the Wonder Deer.

While at Rough Draft I worked on Matt Groening's new show, Disenchantment. I had two roles while at the studio, Color Stylist and Background Painter. I was responsible for creating appealing color choices to match the show style, make color choices for props and also characters. I also painted backgrounds, finishing off the look and style of the show.

My role as Background Painter and Designer involves creating designs for the TV show Mighty Magiswords. I am responsible for creating designs/paints based off the storyboards for the show.
I get to make color, lighting and layout choices while trying to keep to the style of the show.

Background Painter and Designer (freelance)

Duties include supporting art team and art directors with illustrations, paints and POV renders for theme park rides/entertainment.
From photo real art that showcases a landscape to illustration and paintings that progress a concept. A knowledge of color and lighting, layout, landscape design, perspective and more are essential to creating believable and fun worlds.
The art needs to be of a high quality and meet strict deadlines. Expert use of Photoshop on a Mac is essential.
I got to work on massive projects and with amazing IP's such as: Warner Brother World, Lionsgate Entertainment World, Batman, Justice League, Twilight, Hunger Games, Harry Potter and more.

I am responsible for creating background paintings for Disney Animation books. My skills as a traditional painter help to replicate the style of some of Disney Animations most popular titles.

This role requires a knowledge of how color and light can work to advance the story in a scene, having the ability to produce many styles of painting digitally and working within the productions pipeline to achieve short deadlines. All while keeping company standards and expectations for some of the worlds most loved stories.

This role required a series of character designs with a robot theme. The robots needed to be active in gesture and appealing to children. I was required to design initial sketches right through to finalized art/color.

Character Designer

For this role I am creating both the character designs and book illustrations for The Condiment Chronicles: Please Pass the Ketchup.

Firstly I had to design sauce bottle characters for some of the worlds biggest condiment brands. For example:
Heinz, A1, Tobasco, Hellmans, Kraft and more.

These characters will then become the central focus for the book which I will illustrate based on the story concept by Author Sarah Wood. I also had to keep in mind the potential for the story to become a short animation. This meant the creation of a color script and backgrounds before laying out the book.

The Condiment Chronicles will release in the first half of 2016.

Children's Book Illustrator/Character Designer

Icons of Awesomeball is a tabletop game concept I created early in 2015. It became a successful Kickstarter campaign in July.

Originally I started by choosing a concept, writing gameplay mechanics, designing iconic characters and developing the artwork. Over the course of the next 3 months I designed and tested the gameplay for this unique tabletop experience. It combines cards, dice, a ball and a cup for making shots into.

After creating a fun and exciting game I then decided to use Kickstarter as the platform for funding the products production. I created all elements for the campaign including the script for the video trailer, campaign elements, marketing designs (logo, packaging, advertising, etc) and ran the campaign.

The game was successfully funded and is currently in production. It is set to be released late 2015.
