Nic Carlson

Nic Carlson, MS, MA, PHR, is an ambitious People Analyst currently pursuing a Master of Science in Analytics at the University of Chicago. At Boston Consulting Group (BCG), Nic leads the North America, Mexico, and Australia (NAMR) Learning & Development Analytics priorities to distill insights from data, optimizing curriculum and operations. The goal is to equip consultants with the necessary skills and support to excel in delivering top-notch consulting services to prestigious companies worldwide.

Passionate about learning and the outdoors, Nic enjoys spending time in Chicago's extended winter engaging in activities like reading, indoor cycling, and self-learning front-end development. In the summer, Nic prefers outdoor pursuits such as biking, camping, swimming, hunting, and fishing.

Nic's educational background is diverse, including studies in History, Political Science, Modern European Politics, Czech Language at Charles University in Prague, a Bachelor of Arts in History from Bethel University, and completion of a Professional in Human Resources Certificate Program at DePaul University. Nic holds a Master of Science in Analytics from the University of Chicago and a Master of Arts in Teaching with a thesis focused on Engaging Online Learning Environments from Bethel University. Nic also obtained an Associate of Arts in Liberal Arts and Sciences from Ridgewater College.

With a rich professional history, Nic has held roles such as Learning & Development Senior Analyst and former Learning & Development Analyst at BCG. Past positions include HR Manager at Nord Anglia Education, Social Studies Teacher at Anoka-Hennepin School District, and Site Manager at Adventures Plus within the Anoka-Hennepin School District.
