Nic Benders is a seasoned professional with over twenty years of experience in SaaS. He has held various leadership roles and has extensive expertise in designing, implementing, and managing high-throughput, high-availability environments with strict service level agreements.

Nic completed his BS in Computer Science at West Virginia University, which laid the foundation for his successful career in the tech industry.

Throughout his career, Nic has been associated with top organizations, including New Relic, where he served in key positions such as Chief Technical Strategist, Chief Architect & GVP Engineering, General Manager Core Data Platform, and more. His tenure at New Relic showcased his proficiency in driving technical strategies and leading engineering teams.

Prior to his time at New Relic, Nic held pivotal roles at various companies like VOCEL, Inc., Sixth Column, LLC, Motricity, Inc., and Frankfurt Balkind Partners, where he honed his skills in system architecture, infrastructure management, and network security.

Nic Benders' early career involved roles as a Unix Systems Administrator at the Computer Science and Electrical Engineering Department at WVU, a Junior Engineer at the National Radio Astronomy Observatory, and a Systems Staff member at the Statistics and Computer Science Department at WVU. These positions helped him build a strong technical foundation and develop a diverse skill set.
