Dublin-born, Niamh Nolan is a veteran scientific professional with over two decades of industry experience developing cutting-edge biotechnology solutions for improving clinical diagnostics. Niamh has an extensive educational background in microbiology and immunology, having obtained her Bachelor of Science and Postgraduate qualifications and a stint at UC Berkeley.

Her career in biotechnology has been defined by numerous landmark achievements, such as being the Program Director and clinical subject matter expert at Singulex for all internal clinical research studies and collaborating with global KOLs to assess and develop new products to address unmet medical needs. Her work has resulted in more than 150 peer-reviewed publications in acute and chronic heart disease, microbiology, and chronic kidney disease. She has also designed and provided clinical support for regulatory verification and validation studies that led to the launch of an ultrasensitive Troponin I immunoassay in Europe and a Clostridium difficile toxin A/B assay in the US.

Moreover, Niamh Nolan is a founding scientist of Aviir, where she played an integral role in leading the New Product Development team, set up the product design and development process and played an integral role in launch of MIRISK VP (now PULS Cardiac test), an innovative cardiovascular disease risk assessment test that combines multiple protein biomarkers in an algorithm to determine short term risk of a heart attack.

Undoubtedly, her proficiency in clinical research study management, academic collaboration management, key opinion leader liaison, medical advisory board development, product pipeline process development, new product development, marketing material development, immunoassay development, proteomics, biotechnology development, setting up start-ups, and biomarker discovery makes her an asset to any organization.
