Ngozi Dozie

Ngozi Dozie is a prominent figure in the African digital banking sector, known for co-founding Carbon, a leading digital bank in Africa.

Carbon, under Ngozi's leadership, introduced the consumer finance revolution in Nigeria in 2016 with the launch of its innovative Carbon app, leveraging Machine Learning for real-time customer credit scoring.

Having raised substantial funds and grown the business significantly with a team spread across Lagos, London, and Palo Alto, Ngozi's entrepreneurial journey spans various industries including agribusiness, digital banking, and quick-service restaurants.

With a diverse professional background that includes co-founding Nigeria's first digital lender and Cafe Neo, West Africa's largest coffee chain, Ngozi has established himself as a key player in the African entrepreneurial landscape.

Ngozi brings a wealth of experience, having co-founded companies across Africa and spearheaded investments in special situations in countries like Ghana, Kenya, Nigeria, and Rwanda through Kaizen Venture Partners.

He is well-educated, holding a Bachelor of Science from Imperial College, a Master of Science in Computation from Oxford University, and an MBA from The Wharton School. Additionally, he is a qualified accountant and a CFA charterholder, showcasing his expertise in finance and business.

A well-traveled global citizen, Ngozi is fluent in French and has lived and worked in various cities worldwide including Lagos, London, Paris, Palo Alto, and New York.

Outside of his professional endeavors, Ngozi is a dedicated family man, happily married with three sons, and a passionate athlete who has completed two Ironman 70.3 races.
