Nenad Bijelic

Nenad Bijelic is a structural engineer with a focus on the dynamics of nonlinear systems and the application of statistical and machine learning tools. His research revolves around reliable risk assessment of tall buildings in sedimentary basins using high-performance computing and emergent technologies in earthquake simulations. Nenad completed his Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) and Master of Science degrees in Structural Engineering at Stanford University. He has a background as a Postdoctoral Researcher at EPFL and Universität Innsbruck, as well as experience as a Graduate Teaching Assistant and PhD Researcher at Stanford University. Besides his academic pursuits, Nenad enjoys activities like reading, snowboarding, and sailing.
