Nelli Castro

Meet Nelli Castro, a seasoned Regional Manager at lululemon based in the North East. He immigrated to the United States at the age of 17 years old in 2001 and was already well-traveled, having spent time in Eastern Europe, southern England, and immersed himself in English as a second language. Nelson has had an extensive career in the food and service industry, where he worked as a Restaurant Manager at Harlan Publick and a Restaurant Specialist at Aroma Orsteria before transitioning into retail.

Nelli began his journey with lululemon as an Educator in late 2014 and worked his way up from Key Leader to Regional Manager. He is a passionate advocate for lululemon's social impact platform, here to be.

In 2017, he discovered Karma Yoga through United We Om, and his love for yoga grew. He completed his first 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training at Gritty Budha and joined United We Om, where he shares bilingual yoga, breathing, and meditation with immigrant minors in foster care and low-income adults and teens living in supportive housing.

Nelli believes that yoga allows people to cultivate empathy and compassion within themselves, which they can then share with others. Through United We Om, Nelli brings equity to his students' practices, no matter their backgrounds.

Nelli holds an Associate's Degree in Marketing & Consumer Behavior from Westchester Community College. He is highly experienced in retail and hospitality and has excellent leadership skills. He is an inspiration to many in the yoga community and a valued member of the lululemon team.
