Neil Findlay

Neil Findlay is a social enterprise consultant and director at Unity Consulting Scotland Ltd.13 He has extensive experience in Scottish politics, having spent 18 years in local government and the Scottish Parliament.2 Findlay served in numerous front bench positions, chaired the parliament's Health and Sport Committee, and was a member of the Scottish Parliamentary bureau.1

Before his political career, Findlay worked as a bricklayer, housing officer, and school teacher.1 He served as a Councillor in West Lothian for 9 years, where he played a key role in establishing a £7.5 million partnership centre and a community development trust.1

Throughout his time in parliament, Findlay was known as a tireless champion for social justice, working extensively with trade unions and social justice campaigners.12 He helped various groups, including mesh-injured women, former miners, and health and environmental campaigners, to raise their voices in parliament.1
