Neal Fox
Postdoctoral Fellow in Neurological Surgery
Dr. Neal Fox is a cognitive scientist with a focus on spoken language in both healthy individuals and patients with brain damage.
His research delves into how information sources are integrated during speech perception and production.
Dr. Fox employs computational models to explicitly outline cognitive, linguistic, and neural theories, generating new and testable predictions.
He has a strong interest in using intracranial electrocorticography (ECoG) to probe the neural mechanisms involved in speech processing.
Dr. Fox holds a Ph.D. and M.S. in Cognitive Science from Brown University, a Post-Graduate Fellowship in Systems Engineering from the University of Virginia, and a B.A. in Cognitive Science from the University of Virginia.
He has worked as a Postdoctoral Scholar at UCSF and was formerly a Ph.D. Student at Brown University.
