Navneet Govil

Navneet Govil is the Managing Partner and Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of SoftBank Investment Advisers and the SoftBank Vision Fund.34 He oversees the firm's operations, legal, compliance, finance, marketing, communications, valuations, risk, technology, portfolio monitoring, and human resources teams.5 Navneet joined SoftBank eight years ago and has been instrumental in deploying the fund's capital and returning it to limited partners through numerous IPOs and other exits.5

Prior to joining SoftBank, Navneet held senior corporate officer roles at several publicly traded multinational corporations, including:

Navneet holds an MBA and a Master's degree in Engineering from Cornell University, where he was awarded a merit-based Knight Fellowship and an engineering fellowship.45 He currently serves on the boards of ElevateBio and Ridge Lane Partners.56

Born and raised in Zambia, Navneet spent many years in a small, rural area called Nkumbi, where his father ran a college for refugees and helped start an elementary school.4
