Naveen Shahi

Naveen R Shahi, PhD is the Founder & CEO of Bhusatyam Technologies, an Earth observation solutions and analytics science startup based in Indore, India.12 He specializes in bridging Earth Observation Solutions and Spatial FinTech Gap using GeoAI.1

Shahi founded Bhusatyam Technologies in June 2019, focusing on multi-sensor satellite, drone, and IoT-derived product integration in artificial intelligence and computer vision model environments.1 The company provides geospatial-enabled cloud-based solutions and software as a service (SaaS) for various industries, including forestry, agriculture, aquaculture, and critical infrastructure monitoring.1

Education and Professional Experience

Shahi holds a Ph.D. in Physics from Gujarat University, which he completed while working at the Space Applications Centre, Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) in Ahmedabad.1 His academic background also includes:

• Bachelor of Science in Physics from Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya (1999-2002)
• Master of Science in Applied Physics from Shri G S Institute of Technology & Science (2002-2004)

Prior to founding Bhusatyam Technologies, Shahi's professional experience includes:

• Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of the Witwatersrand (2016-2019)
• Research Associate at the University of Maryland (2015-2016)
• Research Associate at the Indian Institute of Science (2011-2014)
• Senior Research Fellow at Space Applications Centre, ISRO (2006-2011)

Currently, Shahi also serves as a Net-Zero Consultant for Strategy&Ops and as a Project Advisor for Tod'Aérs Global Network (TGN).1
