Nathan Mealey

Nathan Mealey is a highly skilled technology professional with a passion for libraries. He earned his Bachelor's Degree at the University of Massachusetts Amherst before studying M.A. in Comparative Literature at Dartmouth College and M.S. in Library and Information Science at Simmons University. His objective is to help libraries evolve and stay current with emerging approaches and technologies. Through his exceptional communication skills and expertise in administration and web-services stack components, he bridges the gap between technology vendors, library staff, and information technology. Nathan's passion for coding in languages like Ruby, PHP, Python, SQL, Javascript, and XML, as well as his skills in database design and administration, make him a valuable asset to any library team. Among his professional experiences, he has been an Associate University Librarian for Discovery & Access at Wesleyan University, Chair of the Systems Team at Orbis Cascade Alliance, and Manager of Library Technologies at Portland State University.
