Nathan Katsiaficas

Nathan Katsiaficas is an enthusiastic and diligent Geologist III at Woodard & Curran, with a master's degree in Earth and Environmental Sciences from Vanderbilt University. His thesis work delved into using zircon U-Pb geochronology to trace soil provenance in Middle Tennessee, known for its limestone dominance.

Nathan's professional journey includes contributions to wetland delineations, FERC projects, and various subsurface investigations at industrial and commercial sites for Phase I and Phase II ESAs. His expertise extends to conducting fieldwork for environmental monitoring, permitted spring water withdrawal, and EPA Superfund projects.

Beyond fieldwork, Nathan is adept at supporting project proposals, budgeting, data management, groundwater mapping, and technical writing. His specialties encompass a range of environmental activities such as groundwater and surface water sampling, geomorphology, soil science, biosafety, and more, underscored by his proficiency in GIS and Geospatial Analysis.
