Nathan Intrator

Nathan Intrator is a brain researcher and entrepreneur with a robust background in math, machine learning, and signal processing. He is currently focusing on developing the ultimate brain activity monitor and neurofeedback tool through NeuroSteer, which aims to measure various aspects like engagement, attention, emotional state, and cognitive load. Intrator envisions applications for lifestyle, wellness, brain enhancement, and training, with a long-term goal of creating a mobile bedside neurological monitor for assessment and intervention. Apart from this flagship project, he has been involved in diverse endeavors like EEG/fMRI and MEG brain activity analysis, cardiac functionality monitoring from heart sounds, fetal monitoring during pregnancy, asthma and respiratory monitoring from chest sounds, and even earthquake prediction. His specialties include acoustic and biomedical signal processing, machine learning and data mining, harmonic signal analysis, medical devices, and EEG brain-machine interface. Nathan Intrator also engages in mentoring young companies focusing on business and technology development. Education-wise, he pursued a PhD in Applied Math, Statistics, and Machine Learning at Brown University, following an undergraduate degree in Math from Tel Aviv University. Over the course of his career, he has held various positions such as Founder at Neurosteer and Acoustic View, Professor at Sagol School of Neuroscience, Adjunct Professor at Brown University, Professor of Computer Science at Tel-Aviv University, CEO, and Director at Respiri Limited (formerly Karmelsonix).
