Nathan Adkisson

Nathan Adkisson is a talented strategist and creative director based in New York City with a passion for large-scale, transformative experiences in public space. His diverse portfolio includes work on innovative projects such as Target Open House, a radical reinvention of retail, and ARoS Public, a bold reimagining of art's social mission. Currently, Nathan is leading the development of Planet Word, a 50,000 square-foot museum in Washington, D.C., poised to be the largest experience dedicated to investigating the impact of language on humanity upon its Spring 2020 opening.

Nathan's unique background includes a Bachelor of Science in Journalism from Northwestern University and the study of Cultural Studies/Critical Theory and Analysis at Goldsmiths College, U. of London. He serves on the board of the Museum Computer Network and the S.S. Columbia Project and has held key positions such as Director of Strategy and Associate Creative Director at Local Projects, Senior Strategist at Big Spaceship, and Strategist at Grey Group. As a visiting faculty member at the Pratt Institute and the School of Visual Arts, Nathan shares his expertise in experience design, creative direction, strategy, branding, content strategy, emerging technology, copywriting, consumer behavior, and leading people through transformative change.
