Lead the development of new products for our existing core client base as well as future markets. Come up with ideas and develop minimum viable products to test new markets and technology. Oversee and manage development efforts across many technology stacks and disparate development teams around the globe.

2018 Product Spectrum:
Building a geo-spatial analytics platform that will allow users to create and interact with their own geospatial applications. This platform will feature, individual level data append service, drive time service, proprietary primary market area service and the ability to calculate shape based statistics using STI Pop data for communities. This application combines community and individual level demographic data to help you better understand your market. This application will utilize a service oriented architecture such that components of the applications could be made available as services for third parties.
The architecture is PostGRES/GIS, Mapbox, Geoserver (soon to be decommissioned in favor of vector tiles), MapZen, Python Flask, homegrown isochrone server (since MapZen shutdown), JavaScript (moving to React here soon).

Lead application and database development teams for internal and external development efforts. This includes but is not limited to rebuilding our market research/ survey system on an open source framework in AWS (cutting recurring operating costs to a quarter of previous)

Develop and launch application development of a mobile/ web based application to support the sales process for membership based companies. This tool also has built in automated marketing campaigns to reach out to leads that have not closed as well as analytics on sales performance and areas of interests from the leads.

Lead application development of a web based HTML5/ Javascript dashboarding framework; moving away from a subscription based dashboard application, Dundas.

Develop and launch Business Intelligence and Data Integration as a Service offering. This includes but is not limited to data warehousing through the integration of multiple datasources and dashboard development as well as introducing new analytical approaches and metrics to allow for data driven business decisions.

Orchestrate partnership with Experian to become a household/ new mover name vendor. This data is used to power a robust name service application that use demographics, geospatial analytics and look alike customers to build highly targeted marketing lists.

Development of an interactive geospatial application that identifies a clients primary market area while incorporating a block group level predicted penetration model to allow for a comparative standard.

Create internal development programs for staff to increase abilities in areas like Tableau and Alteryx.

Lead nationwide effort to baseline transaction times for Marshalls, TJMaxx and HomeGoods. Performed analysis on a specific sample of stores to test variables such as transaction type, transaction volume, store location, amount, etc to check for SLA anomalies. This study served as baseline for enterprise application upgrades and pointed out slow transaction times that would be evaluated and later mitigated for by network team. 

In order to analyze such a large sample we pulled transaction logs off of the POS systems and local to the database server. We used a basic regex algorithm to parse the valuable information from the log files and wrote this information into a SQL Server database. Our sample data collection was spread over several months and included several dozen stores. At the end of the analysis we had reviewed and analyzed 10s of millions of transactions. Using Rstudio to do some basic descriptive statistical analysis we were able to understand the distribution of transaction times by region and transaction types. 

Tableau was then utilized to visualize this data and present it back to the Executive board for Store Operations. This analysis, to date, still serves as the baseline for application upgrades and network changes.
