Deputy Chief of Operations - Marine Operations Center Atlantic - NOAA Commissioned Corps 

Mid-level manager on $50 million research ships, contributing on a team managing multi-million dollar annual operating budgets. Ensured compliance with multiple union contracts for berthing, emergency billets and sea service letters. Verified that safe and navigable waters are utilized by ships officers while completing mission objects as efficiently as possible.

Navigation Officer - NOAA Commissioned Corps

Uniformed liaison between Search and Rescue Satellite Aided Tracking (SARSAT) technical team and USCG, DOD and foreign search and rescue (SAR) forces. Coordinated SARSAT approved & commercially monitored distress beacon policies and issues with NOAA Pubic Affairs, government agencies & industry partners. Championed outreach program adopted by 20 diverse groups & reaching 6.7 M people. 

Instilled new sense of accountability for beacon false activations, teamed w/industry, aircraft operators, mechanics, government agencies, SAR responders & Civil Air Patrol (CAP) to create a standing meeting of experts to solve the beacon false activation issue.

SARSAT Operations Support Officer - NOAA Commissioned Corps

Third in command of a Federal Research Ship conducting operations within the US Exclusive Economic Zone. Specialized in ship logistics and scientific project management by collaborating between scientific party, command and ships force to ensure projects are completed effectively.

Ensured compliance with multiple union contracts for operations, schedules, berthing, emergency billets and sea service letters. Verified that operations were conducted safely and in line with established operating procedures by ships officers and crew while completing mission objects as efficiently as possible.

Operations Officer - NOAA Commissioned Corps

Operations Officer:
Third in command of a Federal Research Ship conducting international and domestic operations in the Bering Sea and Gulf of Alaska. Specialized in operational scientific project management by collaborating between scientific party, command and ships force to ensure projects are completed effectively.

Ensured compliance with multiple union contracts for operations, schedules, berthing, emergency billets and sea service letters. Verified that operations were conducted safely and in line with established operating procedures by ships officers and crew while completing mission objects as efficiently as possible.

Junior Officer: 
Managed environmental compliance program on ship. Coordinated/ conducted operations and maintenance plans for the ships small boats. Primary supply officer, coordinated delivery of supplies to remote Alaskan islands with the Defense Logistics Agency. Maintained and managed property inventory of $51 million dollars in US government assets. Oversaw distribution and maintenance of a $13,000 petty cash fund for paying crew and vendors. Initiated, planned, executed and evaluated complex working SCUBA operations from the ship and shore.
