Natalie Unterstell is an experienced professional dedicated to shaping public policies for low carbon, resilient, and sustainable development on international, national, subnational, and field levels.
With a diverse educational background, Natalie has studied at prestigious institutions such as CATIE, Harvard University, Frankfurt School of Finance & Management, FGV, MIT, and Norwegian School of Economics (NHH), obtaining a Master in Public Administration, expertise in finance, and other degrees.
She currently serves as the President at Talanoa Soluções and has held key positions in various organizations such as being a member of the Conselho Da Cidade Do Rio De Janeiro, Green Climate Fund, Sistema B, Fundação Sos Mata Atlântica, and more.
Natalie Unterstell's past roles include being a Global Governance Futures 2035 Fellow at the Global Public Policy Institute (Gppi), Head at Política Por Inteiro, Senior International Expert at Green Climate Fund, Deputy Secretary at Fórum Brasileiro De Mudança Do Clima, and many other significant positions in the environmental and sustainable development sector.
Her extensive experience also includes contributions as a Negotiator at Unfccc, Head of Climate Change and Forests at the Ministry of the Environment in Brasil, and roles at various institutions working on sustainable development and environmental conservation.
