Natalie Rakoski is a Graduate Research Assistant at Georgia Tech, specializing in research on robot navigation with Visual Odometry. She is known for authoring and maintaining GTRI SCRIMMAGE's AirSimSensor Plugin for realistic multi-agent simulations.
Natalie is pursuing her GT CS Masters in Computational Perception and Robotics, scheduled to graduate in December 2021. She holds a Master's degree in Computer Science from Georgia Tech and a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Engineering.
With a diverse background, Natalie has experience in designing and automating hardware and software validation methods for various technologies including embedded devices, capacitive touchscreen devices, combustion engines, and collaborative autonomous systems like unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). She also holds a professional certification in Systems Engineering called Design for Six Sigma.
Natalie has been associated with prominent organizations like Hermeus, where she worked as an Avionics and Flight Software Engineer, and Apple, where she interned in Human Interface Devices (HID). Her internship experiences include roles at General Motors and NXP acquired Freescale Semiconductor. She has also contributed as a Controls Team Leader at EcoCAR 3 and as an ELSYS Student Research Assistant at Georgia Tech Research Institute.
