Nataley Shea

Nataley Shea is the founder of Second Tour Uniforms, an e-commerce uniform consignment business based in the Washington DC-Baltimore Area.2 She started this service after years of helping transitioning service members purchase civilian wardrobes.1

Second Tour Uniforms is an online platform that allows military personnel to consign and purchase used uniforms. Shea's motivation for creating this business stemmed from the realization that there wasn't a good option for service members to dispose of their old uniforms. She noted that many uniforms were either sitting unused in closets, being donated without knowing if anyone would find them, or being thrown away.1

The company serves military personnel across the United States and even overseas, as long as customers have an FPO/APO address.1 Second Tour Uniforms aims to provide a sustainable solution for military uniform recycling while helping service members save money on their uniform purchases.

Shea is actively involved in promoting her business and educating others about uniform consignment. She has been invited to speak at events, such as one at VFW Post 2562, where she discussed how to consign uniforms with their members.3

As the founder, Shea oversees the operations of Second Tour Uniforms, which includes managing the consignment process. Sellers can request an inbound shipping label from the company to send in their uniform pieces and then wait to receive payment for their sold items.4
