Naomi Wagura
Energy access, justice and equity
Naomi Wagura is a professional in the energy sector, with a focus on clean energy access and energy efficiency to promote energy justice.
She holds a Bachelor's Degree in Energy Engineering from Kenyatta University and a Master of Engineering Studies in Renewable Energy Systems from Massey University.
Naomi has also completed specialized courses in solar energy design and installation from Solar Energy International (SEI).
With a background in finance and accounting through the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (A.C.C.A), she brings a well-rounded skill set to her work in the energy field.
Naomi Wagura has held key roles in various organizations, including Manager, Country Programs at The Rockefeller Foundation, Energy Specialist at Sustainable Energy for All (SEforALL), and Off Grid Electrification Adviser at PNG ECONOMIC AND SOCIAL INFRASTRUCTURE PROGRAM.
She has also contributed her expertise as a Senior Associate and Associate in East Africa at CLASP, Senior Energy Engineer at African Solar Designs (K) Ltd., and Engineering Associate at PowerGen Renewable Energy.
Naomi gained practical experience through internships at Kenya Electricity Generating Company and Achelis Material Handling Ltd, further enhancing her knowledge of the energy industry.
