Naomi Timmer

Naomi Timmer is the Director of H2O People, an organization focused on empowering young professionals in the water sector.1 She holds a BA in Religious Studies and an MA in Political Science from Leiden University.1 With over 10 years of experience in the water management sector, Naomi specializes in inspiring, motivating, and guiding individuals and groups in personal leadership, inclusion, diversity, and collaboration.2

As the founder and director of the European Junior Water Programme, Naomi created this initiative along with the Blue Innovation Track for Advanced Water Leaders as flagship programmes in the European water sector.15 She is known for her energetic and positive personality, applying a unique multidisciplinary vision to develop water-related programs and foster collaborations within a European context.5

Naomi is actively involved in various European projects, leading work on capacity building and societal impact. She is a member of the Stakeholder Advisory Board of Water4All Partnership, leads capacity building activities for the COST Action NEXUSNET, and heads the Working Group on Human Capital for Water Europe.1 Her approach focuses on creating societal impact in and with water, emphasizing the importance of personal development and collaboration in addressing complex water challenges.34
