Naomi Appleby

Naomi Appleby is a highly qualified professional with a diverse background in Conservation Biology, Ecology, and Social Work.

She graduated with a First Class degree in Conservation Biology and Ecology with a Professional Placement Year from the University of Exeter in 2017.

Following her undergraduate studies, Naomi pursued a Postgraduate Diploma in Social Work with Frontline, demonstrating her commitment to making a difference in society.

Her career began as a child protection social worker in a Local Authority, where she gained valuable experience in safeguarding children and supporting families in need.

In April 2020, Naomi transitioned to a pastoral role in a primary school, showcasing her versatility and dedication to working with children in various capacities.

With a wealth of hands-on experience, including roles such as Learning Mentor, Student Social Worker, and Teaching Assistant, Naomi is well-equipped to handle the complexities of the education and social work sectors.

Her previous positions, such as a Zoo-based research intern at The Whitley Wildlife Conservation Trust, Paignton Zoo, have further enriched her skill set and provided her with a unique perspective on wildlife conservation.

Naomi's leadership qualities are evident from her tenure as the Founding President and later Vice President of FX Orchestra, where she honed her organizational and team management skills.
