Nanette Jackson

Nanette Jackson is a versatile professional with a diverse background in technical, operational, and creative aspects of high technology in Silicon Valley. Her career journey spans from technical coding and IT to executive management in startups and established firms.

Currently, Nanette is focused on developing an E-Learning framework that integrates social-emotional teachings, kindness, and safe school routes in the metaverse for the youth in her community.

As the co-Founder & COO of Wvrld Studios Inc, a Y-Combinator-backed company, Nanette led the creation of Venu, a customizable trade show platform in the metaverse that offers accessibility across different devices.

She is also actively engaged in enhancing Safe Routes to School initiatives in collaboration with local schools, school districts, city governments, CALTRANS, and Santa Clara County.

Nanette's dedication to promoting social-emotional well-being among youth led her to contribute to developing a middle school curriculum adopted by the YMCA Project Cornerstone Middle School Program in the SF Bay Area.

With a robust professional background in Virtual Reality, robotics, streaming media, VPN security, cloud computing, and enterprise software, Nanette has held roles in renowned companies like Virtual World Arcade, RoboBear, Limelight Networks, and more.

In addition to her professional endeavors, Nanette actively volunteers with various organizations, contributing to causes such as food banks, community clean-ups, and educational initiatives.

Educationally, Nanette holds a B.S. in Computer Science from UC Irvine, where she also pursued programming courses in Artificial Intelligence, and an M.B.A. in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix.

Throughout her career, Nanette has been associated with multiple organizations in leadership roles, including Founder at Polite Minds, COO at Wvrld Studios Inc., Treasurer & Board Member at Cupertino Middle School Foundation, and various other strategic marketing and product management positions.
